I wish LSD was a little easier to get hold of. But some of this stuff does seem to border on the rantings of that woman on MTV Flux who used to claim Jesus was a magic mushroom. Ha, yeah, she was a gem. The whole religion thing makes a great deal of sense though. When the first entheogen based religions discovered magic mushrooms & DMT containing plants growing in the wilderness and then ate them for food, it's no wonder they thought they were a gateway to the realm of the gods when they started to trip... Near death experiences are almost identical to DMT & very high doses of LSD, and many people who've had a near death experience relate them to ascending to heaven. Of course what with the breakthroughs in modern neuroscience we know now it's the mind we are exploring, not some hidden world as our ancestors thought...

| Whenever you go on one of your drugs/science rants I really do pray that you fall face first on the underside of a lawnmower.
Take that and the occasional paranoia away and you're quite a likeable chap.

| Sorry I talk about things that don't interest you, Hippo. I'll be sure to talk about computer games in the future. | |

| You can talk about baking cupcakes if you like, hence why I specifically said drugs/science rant. | |

| Well I happen to love science, and consciousness related subjects, and I don't intend to change just because someone I've never met is annoyed by it. I don't get on your case for your love of wrestling even though I think it's childish and very gay... | |

| I wouldn't be at all surprised if entheogenic drugs were hugely influential in the development, maybe even the formation, of many religions, cults and spiritual ways of life. But that last comment by Wasson in the cartoon is the most wildly speculative thing I've read for a while. | |

I don't get on your case for your love of wrestling even though I think it's childish and very gay... And you'd be right to a degree. Theres a great quote in a book about wrestling I read, the first line in the book is "Wrestling is dumb". The last line is "Wrestling is dumb...and thats why we love it"
