The trend seems to be going more conservative to me. Not 'Conservative' but in a general sense. People are cutting down on what they buy and are thinking more about what they do.

There is a big fuss in America now about Obama going to the Notre Dame University when he is the most liberal President on abortion.

I think there is a trend but maybe its just me reassessing as I go along.

They are expecting 20,000 protesters to turn up at the weekend.

I'll check that out in a sec, harmar.
Thanks. =)

Hopefully.
I think people are already starting to realise that keeping the same system in place isn't going to work for much longer.
They might be able to come up with a few more quick fixes, but without a pretty big change soon, the shit covered fan is going blow up.

It's all been on a bailout support machine since last September.

I'm watching with interest.

1) Men can be raped, you moron.
2) Pregnancy is not a bad thing by default.
3) Sexually transmitted diseases affected both genders.
4) As pointed out by Spatch, there's plenty of ways to practise safe sex.

You sir, or a moron.

Nice work there.

Plus CERN starts up again in July.

I agree with Tired Hippo. It's always the girl left with the responsibilty of holding the baby.

Whether you think its a good thing or a bad thing it's still a responsibility.

I've got A Level Sociology. My subject was Single Parents.

It's not easy for any of them, divorced, single, men on their own. They all have their own particular problems. It's a big responsibilty.

He had it in the first place. Plus, you're supposed to say "Zeppo". The double apostrophes are important, m'kay.

Where did the "Zeppo" nickname come from?

I like how he points out how others are barking mad, without the slightest hint of irony.

Or it could be something from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

"The Zeppo" is a twist on the show format, which normally consists of an action-packed "A-story" and a character-development "B-story." Here, Xander's feelings of inadequacy develop into the A-story while a stereotypical epic episode of Buffy and the others saving the world is pushed to the background to become the B. Most of the apocalypse story elements come across as background events, happening offscreen, only in small bits, or being talked about afterwards by the characters.'

Looks like everything is imploding.

I think that capitalism is the only stable economic infrastructure for any country that's advanced past dictatorship. Repeated real-life trials have shown that you won't get a significant enough proportion of the population to believe otherwise, and that forcing it leads to very bad things. The quality of life in capitalist countries is vastly superior to most non-capitalist countries and to any time in history.

Getting rid of money altogether is simply infeasible at the present time. The mind boggles at how you could possibly instigate that, or try to convince anyone other than free-living hippies that it's the best way.
