Oddly the only other wrestler I've known whos died as a result of in ring injuried was a female Japanese wrestler.

Most of the deaths have something to do with steroids.

Actually thats a major misconception, most of them are to do with pain killers.

I thought they laughed in the face of pain?

They do.

But falling on your back/front/side most nights for several years causes cronic nagging injuries.

And in wrestling you can't have time off for nagging injuries due to...well it being fake and scripted, so wrestlers just start taking pain killers...

I dunno....things I've read often mention soma's, theres also alot of booze/pain pill cocktails.

Alcohol and barbiturates are a good thing to mix if you want to die.

Also been a fair few from suicide and more normal drugs....most of the von erik family was wiped out by cocaine abuse and suicide.
