Went prestige last night, I forgot how ace the MP5 is.

i used to use AK-74 as my regular SMG choice for a long time, but i've recently gone back to the MP5.

my favourite SMG setup (on hardcore) looks like this:

- silenced MP5
- desert eagle
- smoke grenade
- claymores
- UAV jammer
- last stand

i was using the uzi last night, with less than encouraging results but then again i was playing pretty poorly in general.

i'm lovin the sound of all this weaponry

My SMG set up is:

- Silencer
- UAV Jammer
- 3X Smoke
- Marytordom
- Desert Eagle

I only really play domonation though, so the extra smoke is useful.

I went through a phase of using a P90 and a Barret .50 with that perk that lets you have two primary weapons.

i've recently started playing domination too because fraz0r is good at it, but the only weapons i've had success with have been the G3, the M14, the RPD and the barrett. i've never had much luck with SMGs on non-hardcore modes. the don't seem powerful enough, even with stopping power.

i'm rubbish at taking control points, so i mainly just defend them.

I think the trick to getting them is to go for the shady ones they think are safe, then through loads of smoke. For most points though there is a little area behind a wall and stuff that is slightly safer than the rest.

You're not, you just don't have the right attitude. For some reason you don't care much for dying. You gotta get past that shit, soldier.

i can only succeed when i'm not where the enemy knows i'll be. or when i am where the enemy knows i'll be but well prepared and not moving.

and i really don't like dying.

I die quite a lot.

I've also taken to throwing c4 through windows, then detonating as soon as it lands, like a grenade without a danger icon. It's especially useful for taking out snipers.

never use C4, though i might start on domination and just plant it all on control points and detonate when it tells me our point is being taken.

C4 sucks.

It doesn't tell the other team you are taking a flag if you have UAV jammer on, although I think the icon still flashes.
