| Well ... there is somebody being interviewed for the Wire this week. I'd never heard of him but you can tell she loves him. It was a nice painting. Daniel Johnston - Casper The Friendly Ghost Jodie lent me a dvd of him but I haven't watched it yet. | |

| That pigeon was sitting there minding its own business then some noisy French kids deliberately scared it off. | |

| It's something to do with Sheffield bands and they are interviewing Chora and some other bands who used the same rooms to practice in. It's 8 pages and Ben had to go for a photoshoot and interview on Sunday. I don't know when it's out. Last time his photo ended up alongside Nick Cave. He does take a good picture. | |

| I may as well watch Shirley Bassey while I'm at it. See what she's wearing.
Two of the bands (that I know of) have supported Sonic Youth so they might be talking about that as well.

| Dame Shirley Bassey - Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me
I think it fits in after X Factor Big Band Sound.
That's how it should have been done!

| No. I was happy with the coffee and the little chocolate egg. Jodie wavered a bit outside but I said no ... we're going in. It must be you Sgt Fury, taking me to the Marriot and the Raddison. (I hope Mrs Fury laughed at that) | |

| The painting was called ...
BABY JESUS
Written like that. One word above the other and above that was a figure breaking through what I think (after thinking about it a few days) were swaddling bands.

| Nearly every compartment we got on in the tube a musician got on in the middle of the compartment. There were lots of saxaphone players, accordianists and once a saxaphone and clarinet. The last one was somebody english with a guitar playing Working Class Hero. We thought that would have been a happier song in French.
On the platform was someone playing Ave Maria on a violin perfectly and once further up by the sandwich stalls there was a Mariachi band who then turned into a Russian Cossack Army band singing "See O'er The Steppe Lands". I wanted to watch them longer but I was rushed on.
We liked to sit by the end doors on those fold down seats.
Tom Waits - Jesus Gonna Be Here
On the steps of Sacre Coeur on the first night there was someone playing La Bamba really as we looked at the view. Before that they were playing what we though was a Lenny Kravitz song but I haven't looked it up yet.

| It was better there because it swept all around. That's not a very clear picture.
Like my picture of Leeds but on a bigger scale.
