Yes LA Gears. Those were the fucking nuts. Had two pairs, white with red lights, and black with purple lights.

i had a black pair but the lights died after a few weeks. most upsetting!

Bet they were knock-offs. My black pair lasted for years. Of course, I stopped wearing them after about six months, when they went from footwear of the cultural icon to footwear of class spacker in one half term break.
