Can afford it?! Do you know how much the average working class person round here spend on christmas decorations and the electricity to run them. We have one tree at a tenner, and some baubles and ribbon that are god knows how old, with a few fairy light up for 13 days.

yeah, i'm a bit confused about the class/money correlation. our neighbours are chavvy bastards with kids and they can afford to leave windows open in the middle of winter.

meanwhile, we have to huddle in our living room under a blanket.

The council estate I have to walk past to get to Blackbats had their christmas light extravaganzas up december 1st. It's like the Blackpool illuminations.

I think people with less money enjoy christmas more because they don't get much for the rest of the year.

Where middle/upper classes don't so much because if they want a dvd/game/cd or whatever they tend to be able to just buy it there and then.

I can't remember the last DVD/Game/CD I bought. Being middle class is not the land of milk and honey it is made out to be.

I am legally middle clas, due to the quite a lot of factors. It doesn't mean I like it though.
