Not bad but I discovered to my dismay that I cannot abide the people, atmosphere or activities that dwell at festivals. My favorite bands were the Roots; they covered Black Sabbath Very Happy

Yeah people are twats. Did she tell you about the idiots who set up camp behind us? They bottled some girl this morning as we were packing up, for no reason, and she had to go and have stitches in her head, and then after she went to the medic tent they were bragging about it and congratulating the guy who threw it!

I could never go anywhere as huge as glastonbury. It was enough effort lugging everything from Reading train station to the field and back, not to mention the effort of going into town everyday in the heat we had!

(I should probably add that I pulled a muscle in my leg from sleeping awkwardly (sp?) and was limping around most of the time, not to mention I was very sore with sunburn!).

It was slooshy and full of mud and rain with general cloudyness for the most part when I went. No glaring sunbeams at all, so unlucky there.

Meh, it was shit on the Thursday and Friday, but brightened up nicely, as far I remember*.

*Though I was in a perpetual state of complete drunkeness the whole weekend so the memories are cloudy.

Missed the Readling highlights this year - any good sets? Went Get Loaded in the Park yesterday. Copping off with some random hot chick with the Stooges playing an awesome set. And Hives. What a fucking show. They were good at the aforementioned Reading when I saw 'em, but yesterday they were on fire. Me and Ed were just grinning the whole way though.

The best band of the weekend, for me, was Tenacious D. (Sorry to Rub it in Fraser) but they were the best band i've seen live! The fratellis were good too, as were the Subways and the Manics.

The Subways were dog shite when I saw 'em supporting Oasis. Manics were brilliant at Brixton at the end of last year.

Kicking myself a bit that I didn't get Friday tickets to see RATM.

Wouldn't do a whole Reading weekend again unless I got VIP camping, too many fucking idiots in the main campsite.

Hor was raving about RATM, but nothing could tempt me back to camp in that deathly place again, not even the D.

I'm not much of a fan either. Personally I prefered it when they lost the raving dredlocked munchkin and roped in Chris Cornell instead.

Every night once the bands had finished the people I went with would want to stay up all night and every night I would go straight back to the tent and sleep. Knackering stuff, festivals.
