| A homeless guy came upto me yesterday and asked for some change, I only had a pound coin and I wasn't going to give him that.
He was nice and polite though, he was even honest enough to say that he did drink a bit.
He seemed quite pleased that I'd actually took the time to talk to him when he called me over though, I felt a bit guilty about saying no to him. |

| I know they're only gonna spend it on crack, but sometimes I still give 'em money cos at least that'll keep em warm. And when my mum was like 15 she ran away from home and was homeless for a while so she tried to teach me to always give them money. | |

| I always do when I have spare change... It's like I have this inability to say no to them... Also when people from different charities come to my door I also give them money... | |

| I give them money sometimes depends on my mood really, I wish I did have change yesterday because that homeless guy seemed like a nice guy. |

| Dan, why are you willing to give homeless people money but not give tips to someone who's provided you a service?
Isn't your Thatcherite/Tory ideology supposed to encourage hard work and discourage idleness? Giving a tip to a pizza delivery guy encourages him to do his job better and more efficiently, giving the homeless money has them do nothing productive. | |

| I tip in restaurants when I think they have done well and added value to the service of the restraunt. I don't tip takeaway delivery people, because that is their job, they've not added anything.
I have a Asda up the road from me, I can make a decent pizza myself, the pizza delivery guys aren't really adding any value or providing a convenience.
The student meal deal is £4.00 if it was £4.40 then I'd reconsider it, given the alternatives. Inflating the price with tips has negative effects in my view. |
