Oops. It is afternoon.
I may live dangerously and make some jam out of cherry laurel cherries.
I've done research and it says it's only the seeds that are poisonous. It's on wikipedia ...
'Unlike the rest of the plant, which is poisonous, the cherries are edible, although rather bland and with a somewhat dry smack compared to the fruit of apricots, true cherries, plums, and peaches, to which it is related.'

How will you make them less bland ? Secret recipe ?

I don't know. I just want to try it to see if they taste faintly like cherries.
It's an experiment. At least I know they are edible.

It was just a joke when he called everybody fashion victims. I laughed.

First attempt was with plain laurel cherries ... then I added lemon ... then I added cinnamon ... then I added mixed spice. Still a bitter aftertaste.
Second attempt I added blackberries ... then lemon ... then blackberry wine ... then cinnamon.
Nothing really made much difference but they look like a good cure for constipation.
(Prune family)
Maybe I'll look up prune recipes. It's still edible but not very tasty. Lime might be nice.

I was always of the opinion that the Prunus family were best for just looking at. I keep a section of next door's garden strictly for the Ribes family and she gets good conserves every year.

Are there any Bilberries in the woods ? They make a nice jam. Packed with anthocyanins too - good for your health. Reports of improved night-vision are a bit far fetched though.

No. But I found some small fruits in the park that I added to my mixed fruit butter.
When I went to Fairburn the man I was speaking to said there was a bilberry bush there but I didn't see it. I'm looking out for it next time. I want to go again before it gets too cold. I need some new trainers first. Mine are too bad now.

I'm going for something to eat before the Big Announcement.
Some are saying it's an interview with Charlie Sheen but others say it's not so I will have to wait. It must be bigger than that. He says it's the biggest thing he has ever had on his show. Did you ever watch Bohemian Grove. It must be big to top that.
