I have an Ibanez. Not sure which model but it says "Gio" on the head. It's electric blue. It looks quite "metally".

I'd also love this bass...



It's a Music Man Stingray. They're rather expensive, though (£1349). The fretless ones look even nicer but I'm too pussy to play without frets

you still get the fret markers along the top of the neck i think.

ibanez guitars are cool but they remind me of steve vai or nu metal. both of those things bend my head.

Everyone has a fucking Les Paul, though. I'd rather have a Telecaster, even though Les Pauls probably sound better and yeah, you may well be right about the markings above the neck but it would be nice to have the ones on the fretboard for reference. I think you can get a fretless one that still has the markings on the board, but they don't look as good, obv.

i've been playing guitar for almost 12 years and i've only met 2 people who have a proper les paul. most people have the epiphone version of them or something. but a lot of famous people have them i guess!

i think les claypool uses a fretless bass. hes pretty godly on it

Yeah, I wouldn't quite call myself Les Claypool. I haven't had proper lessons on either Bass or Guitar but I've had my Bass longer. It's just a Squier P-Bass. I'd rather have a Jazz Bass, though, I think they sound nicer.

how long have you been playing for? i think i've picked up more cool stuff from youtube lessons then my entire time at college and doing grades!

Bass? About 5 years but I drift in and out of playing it. I don't try and learn songs very much, I think it's more fun just riffing along scales and jamming with my brother (he's learning drums).

I've had my guitar 2 or 3 years.
