Yeah, I know. I think the basic principles are broadly the same though, the crimes are similar but just ours is based on case law and precedent and theirs are incorporated into their constitution(?)

What do you mean? I know its illegal for UK registered companies to commit crimes abroads even if its legal in that particular country.

one example i know is an American author writing a book only published in America got sued for libel in a British court by some Saudi bloke for supposed libel contained within the book. the Saudi won and all copies had to be destroyed.
