Well...since Adams himself sold out to the fucking movie studios for that abomination of a film, it's hardly surprising. Still not happy about it, though.

Well after the whole 'let's make 20 million needless books about Dune cos Herbert's son needs the money', I'm still dreading who will take over Discworld after Terry loses his marbles.

Trust me, someone WILL be writing Discworld novels after he's gone AND they'll be shite.

The first Dune was bad enough, to be honest.

Discworld should have died long ago as well.

i was reading that the other day. it also revealed to me my misunderstanding of cosmic ordering. i thought 'ordering' referred to the order in which events happened, not that you could just order up whatever the fuck you want. fucking crazy.

make sure youre more specific than that or the cosmos will just give you a giant chicken.

When I was a kid I used to scan my mum's old Cosmos in search of two melon sized orbs. I think I got the ludicrous idea that Cosmo was a wank mag from The Young Ones.
