Actor-turned-rapper Joaquin Phoenix has blamed a tardy film crew for his lacklustre music debut - after shocking Las Vegas partygoers with a bizarre hip-hop show.
The 34-year-old unveiled a strange rap act at Sin City club Lavo on Friday night, when he performed three tracks from his forthcoming album, bobbing around the stage sporting an overgrown beard and unkempt hair.
The gig was reportedly recorded by Phoenix's brother-in-law, Casey Affleck, for an upcoming documentary tracking the star's new career in music.
But the Walk the Line star's show fell flat - ending with a red-faced Phoenix tripping and falling into the crowd.
A source tells the New York Post, "He was waiting for Casey Affleck and when the film crew arrived late, Joaquin flipped out."
According to the insider, Phoenix yelled at the crew: "Thanks for being late and f***ing everything up.'"
The source adds, "He came back five minutes later and did the sound check. Nobody can tell if he is for real or if this is all a big joke."
Phoenix announced his retirement from acting in October.

I knew Joe liked Tintin, but I don't. I thought he and Edgar Wright were working on a film version of Ant-Man.

Edgar is definitely on Ant-man too, but that's probably a film or two away, since he's doing Scott Pilgrim first, but Joe could still be working on it with him. I didn't know they were homies so this is good news to me.
i liked Adam's Quantum song. i also like his Nutty Room.

Musically, it's more like a Bond song. But when it comes to comedy lyrics...he's a bit shit.

did you know i still haven't watched the last few episodes? i went on holiday and it hasn't been repeated on telly since. the DVD's always been really expensive for just 13 episodes too. as soon as it's less than a tenner i'll buy it.

Haven't seen the last few?! Hurry up. The movie's this close to being made soon!
Please tell me you've seen the last season episode where they bring the Japanese business men to see the model houses only for Tobias to smash them down in a mole outfit and then fights with George Michael, who's strapped to a jet pack.
Awesome.
