No luck with the flat hunting, think we'll stay put for now. Needs Helen's expert eye really.
Our guys in Japan are flying home today. Not sure they want to but that's the company line. I'd be torn between escape and being nosey. I have no concept of health and safety. What you baking ?

I've been baking chocolate brownies (turned out a bit flat but still nice), scones, fat free cake and today I might bake some scone/jam bake invention. Comfort food.
According to the girl I know they can't get any food so it would be a good thing to move out. She is on twitter all the time trying to help out. She seems to trust her government to tell her the truth. They have already lied to them before.
It looks like Mrs Merkel is in trouble with her pro nuclear stance. I don't know what they would replace it with though.

Worst case scenario is that the meltdown goes all the way down to the earth's core. That would beat being blown up down Wheldon Lane. I always said this planet would end up as another asteroid belt.

The Lemonheads - I Just Can't Take It Anymore
I couldn't do any baking today. No room in the freezer. More of the trees branches are missing. They have two lampposts in their garden. I hope they don't switch them on much. Too much light.

Dudes, take a look at the plant after today's explosion, don't forget to click on the picture for a bigger image, then again, to see the details.
The destruction today was far greater than that we've been told.
They don't say it straight up. But they show a map.
And then at the end they have a list of the time In days for the radiation to reach the U.S. west coast.

Never know what life is gonna throw at you.
Based on a true story.
I don't need to do much to the garden with all my painted rocks. I will get more rain on the gooseberries and quince now the trees are down. I might be able to have a go at gooseberry/elderflower champagne at last. I'm bringing in my two year old tomato wine from the garage. I might need it.
This is a nice site of Magazine covers. I like the 9th Avenue one looking across to Japan.

Look how they stopped Chernobyl ...
----------------------------------- 'Very sad but true. The rest of the story: Chernobyl. The Russians sent each soldier in for three minutes, that's it. Three minutes exposure time in an effort to prevent a disaster. Within ten days, 15,000 soldiers were dead from their three minutes of exposure. No one talks about this loss of life. ------------------------------------
The Russians had it right. You start lining up people, give them a shovel, and have them rush in and start flinging in sand and rocks. You get every helicopter in your inventory and start hauling it buckets of concrete until the pilots croak. You just keep dropping more and more crap onto it until you have a new great pyramid if you have to.
That's about it.'
I'm switching off from it now.
