Seeings as though I've been playing this non-stop of late I thought I'd make a thread.

Which unlockable items have you recently got?
Which cups have you got star ratings on?
What combination of charachters and vehicles do you use?
What do you think that you will never achieve?

I use either Dry Bones on the Magikruiser or Funky Kong on the Star Bike.

This week I have gone back and re-done the 50cc and 100cc cups and got 2 star ratings for 6 of the 8 50cc cups apart from the Mushroom and Banana cup (only 1 star) and 2 star ratings for all the 100cc cups apart from a 1 star rating on the banana cup. for some reason I fail on the goldmine course all the time

I got the Nitrocycle, Cheep Charger Kart, Baby Daisy and Bowser Jr after all that.

I think I'll never unlock the expert ghosts for all the time trials which is a shitter...i think that unlocks Dry Bowser and I want him!

Won't unlock expert ghosts for all, they're just too tight on the limits.

Recent unlocks? Nowt, really. I'm still playing through the mirror championship, having three outta 8 golds. My ratings are normally pretty abysmal, to be honest. I tend to satisfy myself with winning the grand prix, rather than on performance. I user Rosalina with the Torpedo bike.

Erm, I've only just finished the bikes....

how'd you get The Torpedo Bike and Rosalina?

Not sure! Think the bike was got for x amount of Expert Ghost trials completed, Rosalina's got something to do with having a Mario Galaxy save and winning one of the easier championships (50cc or 100cc), as I got her quite early on.

Rosalina requires a mario galaxy save on your wii.

You can get Ros by one starring all the mirror retro cups. I advise you to get Galaxy though cos she unlocks after a short while for no reason. Plus, it's pretty awesome.

the closest we've had to Mario with guns is the FLUDD on Sunshine. i wish they'd make an easier version of that. some bits make me want to eat the TV in anger.

Specially in that level with all the chops and the lava and stuff.

is that near the end?

yeah, never even got close to that bit.

Its that jungly level in the sky with virtually no easy shines to get.

That level with the giant gooey manta ray was a bastard as well.

the manta ray that was electrified? that was a bastard but the one after where you go into the hotel and have to reach the top by turning Boos into steps was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. that and a few of the FLUDDless obstacle course ones.

I got the Bubble Bike, The Phantom and Dolphin Dasher last night and cause I've now won gold on all cups I've also unlocked a different title screen.

I'll don't think I'll get star ratings for ALL mirror cups...I only have one so far for the Special Cup.

I might rent galaxy out instead of buying it.

buy it or it doesn't count.
