What videogame are you playing?

i ordered Manhunt 2 for less than £8 from Play. it sounds like it's going to be a lot like Second Sight which i'm not sure is a good or bad thing. i was shit at Second Sight.

There's some really unfair bits in that level.

I've gotten through it without killing anyone (or being seen!), but you're pretty much forced to take out people on the pool deck and the ship's control room. Too many points where you're not really given the freedom to experiment ruined that level for me. Looked great, but like I said...unfair. Oh yeah, SC: Conviction is supposed to be getting a release date this year (new website teasers are up). Can't wait!

Did you ever play Manhunt 1, Gin? Yeah, it's kinda like Second Sight with all the sneaking...but with big burly men shouting about bum rape and gory cutscenes.

never played it. i just thought the opportunity to bash some skulls in and whatnot for £8 was too good to miss. i can see myself not getting very far if i have to sneak.

i eventually got through the pool bit without being seen (or maybe i raised someone's suspicions once) or taking anyone out. i had to sticky shocker someone in the control room, but there was only the one guy there, since two of the three go upstairs after a while.

the casino bit was the worst and i had to shoot everyone. on my first attempt, i climbed up the second balcony and hid behind a slot machine, only to have whatsherface chime in over the radio that she's going to hack in and set off all the slot machines to attract the guards, so i can slip past ("NO WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING I'M HIDING BEHIND THE SLOT MACHINES YOU DAFT BITCH I HATE YOU£$^%@£&$*^&£@%^^@!!!!!!").

i'm assuming the problem the BBFC had with Manhunt 2 was the graphic nature of the executions. looks like they've toned them down by making the screen go red then blurry and jump cutting a lot. have to admit, it's not very satisfying when you can't see what it is you've supposed to have done to someones head.

Innit. Pretty sure you can import the fully uncensored version in from somewhere Region 2ish like Holland though. Seeing so many mature Wii games gutted for their British release has basically sworn me off buying any of them.

Yeah, it's a looooooong story. Manhunt 2 got banned over here because of the first game, so after a year and 2 appeals, it was finally released...but with cuts (hence the weird druggy effect). Unfortunately, because of the cuts, the way you achieve either of the two endings was thrown out the window...which is stupid because if you want the good ending, you were supposed to get weak executions (pretty witty really). So by the end of the game, they make you play both versions of the final level.

The US version went by censors unscathed...probably cos it didn't get caught up in a controversy where a game had nothing to do with a murdering scumbag. Oh well.

Been playing Peggle for the last five hours. By jiminy it's addictive.

Struggling with the 4th master level at the mo. Not sure which power to use.

i usually just put that shit on random, though the flippers is my favourite. is that the master duels or whatever it's called, you're doing? i've been doing the challenges. onto the one where you have to do 3 levels in a row without a failure.

no, it's the last five levels of the adventure mode. can't do challenges until i've completed that

oh, i see. maybe you should be thankful- some of those challenges are a right bastard. some of the ones where you have to take turns with the AI to score the most points had me at my most sweariest.

maybe the Zen owl will be my saviour. he's pretty shit hot at correcting my bad shots.

i don't trust it; what if i lined up the perfect shot first time and he's just changing it so as not to be shown up?

Didn't ever bother to play any of the originals.
