that's dead space done after many months. i managed to get the achievements for 30 kills with each of the weapons except the contact beam . wish i'd got it earlier, as it was one of the better guns anyway.

has anybody got the achievement thing on dead space where you shoot the meteors? i tried it 5 times last night. failed

i just cleared 20GB of crap on my ps3! i had no idea you could delete stuff in the game data utility folder. i thought it would mess up your saves and trophies.

so. a few weeks ago i heard this had been patched. "i wonder if it fixed it so i can continue with my game," i dared to hope. i decided to leave it for now and stick the disc in again one day when i could be bothered to see if it at least gave me an update.

that day was today.

sure enough, when i fired her up there was indeed an update. i waited for it to finish downloading and restart and tentatively loaded my game. as i approached mike's bar, my expectations were low and i expected, as before, nothing to happen when i pressed y to open the door...

..i was wrong. the door swung open revealing the way forward and some guy lounging against the bar. safe in the knowledge that everything was in working order, i confidently approached my friend with the news of my success in the mission he had given (the details of which i forgot months ago). "no rest for the wicked." he told me. then nothing. no mission complete or anything, just nothing. i tried approaching him again. "no rest for the wicked."
