Part of me wants to call you a massive geek, but Kevin Smith likes comics, and he's cool as fuck, so I'm conflicted.

hes written some relating to his films and he's also done at least a couple of superhero comics. batman, definitely and more i think, as well.

Spider-man too, and the script for a proposed Superman film that never got made.

i'd like to point out that i'm cool even though i watched a film about comics, but i'm not cool so it don't work.

American Splendor is about as un-geeky as comics get. Just loserish.
