I'd just give it the IT dept and get them to sort it.

| How big's your page file, how much disk thrashing is it doing to access it; how much memory is in use when nothing much is running?
What crap is running that you don't need and you can turn off, like services and start up programs, and crap running in your sys tray? Also, what anti virus are you using?

| ctrl-alt-delete is your friend.
Processes tab lists everything that's running; performance tab shows you page file size, cpu usage history, and memory usage at the bottom.

how much? also, is burnout paradise available purely as a download on there, yet? it didnt really take my fancy from the demo, but if i could get it for cheap, as a download i mightve given it a go, especially with all the free content theyve released. if i had a ps3.

| Am I the only one who thinks Braid is...well...y'know? A bit shit.
I'm all for my arty games (hell, I own more than a few), but I just couldn't see the fuss about this one. Castle Crashers was a laugh though.

| All ready for the 360 update?! Woooo Hooooo....ah....oooooo.... I have no idea what the point of those avatars will be. It's not like you can see them in games anyway. | |

| im sure my granny will go out and buy a 360 as soon as theyre introduced..
is the ability to install games on the hard drive in that update too? im more interested in that, if itll help command and conquers horrific save/load times or stop mass effect slowing to a juddering mess if you break into a run when its not expecting it.

| Yep.
Install, Mii avatars, cleared up dashboard (what's the point of 2 pages that were basically identical anyway?!)...all in the update. There was an update last month that basically set the groundwork for this.
I could do with an install for Mass Effect really. The texture downloads were what killed it half the time. I'd be listening to some important info, but I'd forget it cos I was watching the layers of textures being hastily loaded up. The PC version is supposed to be better, mainly because of the install approach. Basically anything using the Unreal Engine needs to be installed at the end of the day.

| The PC version is also way better because of the pause menu/command screen. | |
