I only manage to get about 3 guys out for the next bit and then I'm screwed cos I don't have enough men to survive Operations! Don't try and play the last map as just Ripley...it's impossible!

yeah its rock. i tried the second mission with just frost but my experimentation with the grenade launcher ended things pretty quickly.

Yeah, aim the grenades behind the aliens for the best results. That bit is rock, I can cut open the door and get to the vent, but then I'm screwed. Gorman is so bloody useless and I also ended up killing Newt with Wiezbowski's flamer at one point...oops.

Also, I think the Newgrounds link is the improved version of the game.

i just downloaded the new FF XIII trailer from the playstation store. doesn't look as cool as versus XIII but me wantz me wantz

y'know, given that 3 marines was all that survived the reactor irl, that really should be enough to hold operations. maybe im just shit at this game.

You really need at least 4 to survive.

Apone and Hicks are essential since they get 3 moves instead of 2. So get them out first. Just remember to pick up incap marines. They'll come back for the next map.

Your set-up on Reactor should be set out like this (S=smart gun, F=Flamer, H=Hicks, A=Apone, P=Pistol).

I finally finished it though. Only Ripley, Newt, an incapped Dietrich and Sgt. Badass Apone made it out alive. *mourns for the rest except Burke*

i usually have hicks at the front and someone with a flamer, then everyone with a pistol, then another flamer and then the 2 smart guns at the back, providing long range cover, with apone watching their back.

the problems start when drake/vasquez/apone start to fall too far behind and/or when an alien spawns on one of my flamers.

im generally able to get pistol-armed marines out cause they have no real use, other than to escape.

it seems like it should be a little easier to to push an alien off a comrade. i always try it but it rarely works and even though not going back for someone whos been got seems like tactically the better option, my sense of honour means i try and rescue everyone whos down.

the news thread just reminded me im looking forward to the new riddick game/remake as i never played butchers bay 1st time round.

I hated the Riddick movies but the game was great.
