I watched 30 Days of Night over the weekend.

How did they manage to screw up a simple and awesome premise like that?!

Worst bit: Survivors talking about shooting the vampires and watching people die in the street (even though the viewer hasn't seen anything like this so far)...THEN actually show people shooting vampires and being killed in the street and if the diner they're in is on the same bloody street, how come nothing is happening outside?!

Melissa George was completely miscast as Stella and John Huston seemed to be acting in some Zen Philosophy movie rather than in a vampire movie.

...Jesus and I thought all the comics that came after 30 Days... were awful!

the difference being, i was only 99% sure the film would be comparable to a shit in a box.

and to be fair i think i sniggered once but i can't remember why.

I've just watched Russel T Davies' The Second Coming for the first time ...yeah, I know it's been around for 7 years or so, but it obviously slipped under the old radar while I doing other stuff ...??! Anyhoo ..It's a marvellous piece of work and Christopher Eccleston acts his little socks off in it.

While on the subject of Eccleston ....Is "Strumpet" any good?
