| Dogmeat is useless. You can't stealth anyone with that mutt around. | |

| no, they're not ghouls. if i'm remembering right, i think you have to go down another level, through a manhole in a room down in one of the stations. it'll take you into a cave with a few mirelurks in and then you come out into some subway tunnels and they're tucked down a tunnel to the left. if you come out in a trainyard of some kind, you've went past it. | |

| Not mirelurks...I bumped into some of them earlier and they slaughtered me =(
I ran into a death claw, but he was having a barny with some raiders (who stupidly decided to turn on me and not deal with the deathclaw) I somehow managed to deal with with the raiders and then the deathclaw, who was way too slow to be much of a problem.
I also truely hate mutants with chainguns.

| mirelurks aren't too bad, and heavily armed super mutants are okay if you've got cover. deathclaws are big problems, though. | |

| Combat shotgun to the face at close range sorts 'em out. (Mirelurks) Nukalurks are awesome.
I found the Family in my last game but I've forgotten where it is they were hiding. It's somewhere east of the 3 locations I think.

Indeed, you had me worried about mirelurks, but they're total pussies compared to the other two. First time I was hunting the Family I happened across a mutant with a fucking flamethrower. This was like three hours of playtime into the bloody game. Scared my shit right up.

| I think I found him...with 2 other bloody mutants.
I have to admit I like obvlivion more just because its easier to survive...in fallout its too easy to bump into something that can slaughter you and make you wish you still had a block button or a healing spell.

| Survival is the core of the game, though. I love Oblivion but Fallout is undoubtably the better game. Take the difficulty down and keep it down if you want to do better | |

| It's probably worth sticking around the Megaton area until you've upped a few levels. You can gain easy experience from Moira's guide (including all the raiders you'll slaughter in the mart) and also saving any scrap metal you'll find will boost your experience when you handit over to Walter after repairing the pipes (that's if he ain't dead from the bug that makes him fall to his death before you even meet him. Dumb bitch was in a heap the first time I saw him). Plenty of places along the river to the north will grant you enough easy exp before you branch out. | |
