there's never enough lying around for me to live off. they're pretty much the only thing i buy and i buy tonnes of them. got quite a stockpile now, though, so i probably won't have to buy many more for a while.

| Maybe I just get lucky with them. Or maybe pouring points into the thief skills really does change the game a lot more. Either way I've never had a problem with health stuff. In fact I tend to have way too much and it bogs me down. | |

| I only use stimpaks as an emergency health boost. You can easily find a place to sleep and there's food everywhere. Eat food first to reduce weight. Buffout's alright for a quick boost too.

| I only ever used Stimpaks, Rad-X and Rad-Away for the entire game. Without buying any Stimpaks, I still managed to collect about 117 of them before the finale. I used all the other drugs as a source of income really. | |

| I haven't found radiation to be a problem at all (apart from outside Vault 87). Even Wheaton armory is easy enough with a radiation suit. | |

| Once you do certain sidequests like Those! and The Wasteland Survival Guide, radiation is hardly noticable because of the perks you get. But I didn't finish those quests until later really. One quick trip to the doctor in Megaton and you're cured anyway, but I was too lazy to keep going back really. | |

| Honestly I have no idea. It could be AOL or it could be my computer but I can't get an Xbox Live connection or even a direct connection to my computer. I've tried many things, even a manual setup (advised from a tech web site forum and Xbox Help itself) and still nothing. I gave up in the end. I'm connection to AOL Broadband via modem, no connection issues apart from the odd disconnection but I'm guessing as I can't get a direct connection to my computer, that it has something to do with the IP or something. Fuck knows. | |

| well, i was connected to a router via ethernet cable, so it's not exactly the same setup (couldn't get a signal with the 360 wireless adapter either [£45 are suck]).
i presume you've tried changing your IP settings and whatnot in the settings on your xbox?
also, if you're not online, does that mean you don't have the new dashboard? cause it is actually easier to pinpoint the problem with the old one as it tells you what exactly is causing your connection to fail when you run the test.

| I've never passed "IP Address" on the test. My computer popped up with something about resetting my IP which I did several times to no avail. I've been told AOL have some sort of gateway which can only be opened by them directly. Although seeing as I can't find a connection to the computer at all, it's not my primary concern. I spoke to someone before who said something about configuration, but I ain't the techy type. I think I may blag a free wireless router from AOL and try again with that setup. Gawd knows. | |

| i seem to remember my IP for the xbox was the same as my computer and i had to manually change the IP settings on the xbox live setup to something different (rather than resetting it to default). you done that? | |

| me neither, really. can't remember what i changed my IP to, i'm afriad. and like i say, i was connected through a router, so the same fix may not apply. but i had various problems with my live and each time some dedicated googling sorted it out. if you know roughly what the problem is, i can guarantee someone else will have had the same one, asked about it on a forum and gotten a solution.
it is probably worth trying to get aol to send you a router, though the one(s) they sent us were crappy.
oh, and i'm on bt now and there's been no problems whatsoever.

| I've opened up Xbox Live Help again and I've finally passed the IP but I'm stuck on the DNS field now. It looks as if I will need to contact AOL for the DNS addresses anyway. It says it should pick it up automatically but nothing's happening. | |
