WHY CAN'T YOU KILL THE CHILDREN!?

you cant? that sucks. i never tried, but i threatened to cause a cave-in so they would give me some fungus.

They took it out so the game could be released without delays further down the line.

The first 2 Fallout games let you kill kids though. But you just had angry mobs hounding you all the time. Mobs...don't they have anything else to do?!

Yeah, but you do get the option to tell the mayor to go fuck himself. That was good enough for me...until I found out I needed him to get me into the Vault. The little shit.

I like the teenagers in Big Town. Man, are they a bunch o' dorks...I was supposed to help them fend off the Super Mutants, but I'd already got my achievement and left them to die. The place is now a ghost town.

Awwww, I helped them fuckers out, taught 'em how to shoot guns and then stayed put and fucked up some muties.

I might go back there and kill them all now though.

Has anyone ever visited that small town in the south? Arndale or something?

It's fucking hilarious. There's 2 families acting like the war never happened and they talk to you about traditional values. Then you meet the grandad and it turns out they're all brothers and sisters who stay alive by eating travellers.

I like the one response to when you find out what's in the toolshed and you're held at gunpoint. It's something like: "Hell, there's nothing wrong with what you do. I was actually going to grab a bite to eat myself!"

animal friendship (or whatever its called). not getting your face ripped off by a yao guai when you go for a walk = win.

Those fucking bears always get the jump on me. I always hear them coming, hit VATS and then jump when the screen shows a mutie bears screaming for my blood.

Then there's the Deathclaws. I used freak out fighting them, but once you build the dart gun and shoot them in the leg with it, they're a bunch of pussies.

Yeah that's a beast of a perk... I think it's called "animal lover." When I level up once more I can make bears follow me as an ally. Booker!

Bears mean nothing when you have a Super Mutant as a buddy.

The Operation Anchorage DLC is out today for 800 points.

I'm going to wait until they're all released though.

does it just appear in your existing game as a side quest, or do you have to be at a certain point in the story or what?

Probably the same way it happens in Oblivion, you'll get a notification of a new sidequest and then you can do it whenever.

You can play the DLC anywhere before the big finale at The Citadel. You get a distress signal on the Pip-Boy and take it from there. Same thing will happen with The Pitt DLC next month.

The Broken Steel DLC comes into play when you start the finale. Which is annoying for me since the DLC games mean I have to play the entire game AGAIN because of my awkward save points!

i can't find all the super behemothz

and i messed up the strictly business quest by shooting someone in paradise falls. and it was the last quest i had to do !!! fuck starting over

All the locations.

One is really awkward to get to because you have to go through several subways and tunnels to enter an area that's closed off to the rest of the Washington map. The rest are pretty much out in the open though. I almost felt sorry for the one at Evergreen Mills because he's locked up in a cage...so I let him out to kill all the raiders. Ha!

I need to play some more. Picked up the laser gun from the alien crash site, but haven't really played much since then.

Yeah, I found that gun but I never really used it because of a lack of ammo. Same with the Fat Boy. I just saved it for the Behemoths and the end when all the Enclave come out in hordes.

Yeah that's the problem with cool weapons, you don't ever use them.

the nuka cola quest drove me crazy. i must have drank about 20 of those before i did it. then i had to find another 30

Nuka-Cola is probably the worst quest of the lot. The fact that you're constantly running around with these frigging bottles taking up vital space and you keep having to backtrack to this bloody woman. Also, going to the Nuka-Cola plant is a waste of time. There's only about 3-6 bottles there!

I did it in the end, but it's definately the worst quest next to The Wasteland Survival Guide.

Apparently there's 93 static bottles in game, and a random encounter where someone will sell you one.
