I'm having a love / hate relationship with this amazing piece of shit game. I want to find EVERYTHING but there's too much shit to look for and I can't stop searching.
This is what games like this do to me. I am weak, and I am pathetic.

What I said, its just not hooked me and theres lots of little things annoying me.

Mainly the fact theres no way to defend yourself, if you're fighting more than 2 things with guns then you just have to accept losing health.

if you were given mad armour and gunz at the beginning it wouldn't be much of a survival game would it?

Its not about being able to survive, its about having no choice but to stand there and soak up damage, even the hardest games at least give you means to dodge, block or avoid attacks, fallout just gives you no choice but to stand there and take it.

It does though. You can avoid the attacks by not barging into every room and assuming you can just tank your way through the game. It'll fuck you right up if you do.

What about when you're wandering round, happy as larry and then 3 raiders start shooting at you from out of the blue......WELL.

I'm alright indoors, its the outside bits that cause me problems.

Nobody sneaks up on me, I'm too paranoid for that. Since I found a sniper rifle I don't get much hassle in the wastes.

The game is essentially good, but theres just a whole bunch of irritating things, no way of defending yourself, most healing items being under powered, shit map screens abd several other things.

i've found there to be ample cover behind rocks and trees and whatnot in the wastes. it is definitely very hard to begin with, though. eventually you build up enough funds so that you can keep a healthy stock of stimpaks.
